Maddock - Fourth of July Weekend (

Summer is in full bloom in Montana and with the end of spring brings the end of the cattle round ups at local ranches. Many cow hands have flocked to Maddock to purchase new outfits from the Trading Post and spend their pay on liquor and women. The evenings become a busy time for the local Sheriff and Marshal, breaking up street fights, collecting fines for drunkeness and enforcing the local gun ordinances.

The highlight of this time is the Fourth of July celebration, this year was no exception drawing folks from counties far and wide to see the reconstruction, show off new babies and announce new marriages. Others hoped that perhaps this year they might find themselves the right lady and the Ladies Auxilary Circle annual picnic basket fund raiser was very well attended. Most notable purchases at this event included Miss Matilda Moreau's basket going to Thierry Marcel, Mrs. Eugenia Rhodes basket going to Sheriff Jack Barron, Miss Elise Montgomery's basket going to Jason Delaware Clysdon, Miss Letitia Taylor's basket going to Damien D'aray and lastly a mysterious young woman by the name of Dora, who's basket went to Chance Jamison.

There was a flurry of activity among the esteem ladies of the LAC who were rather pleased to have had such a good take on the prices this year and then just days later to receive a hefty donation from Mr. Christopher Quintan. Course, now people are starting to wonder just what the LAC plans to do with their newfound windfall.

A town meeting has been called to discuss the issue of the water supply and the people seem happy with the Mayor's decision to hire Natan Zamir to devise a water system that will be available for the entire town to use.

Construction in Maddock is still underway in several places including the recent completion of a General Store in south Maddock rumoured to be owned by Christopher Quintan, the new opening of Balcombe Guns just a few doors down and the ongoing construction of the new hotel.

New arrivals on the grid include Jim, Job, Ricardo, Ophelia, Gaskill, Joseph, Lee, Lockett, Halvard, Matilda, Hazel, Mariah, Lily, Amelia, Irving, Milo and Bianca
