Ladies and gentlemen of the town of Maddock whisper and gossip about the new inhabitants of the general store. The upper level has now been opened up for the employees of the general store. Apparently, Mister Quintan has spared no costs to make the rooms there comfortable and almost luxurious. What causes the biggest gossip however, is the fact that the only two people living there right now are Miss Angelique Dumont and Mister Christopher Quintan.
"I've seen that woman put out her hooks for several men! Have you seen how shamelessly she flirts? Really, one has to wonder... she and Mister Quintan, all alone in that house..." one woman tells her husband.
The husband nods vigorously. "I know, dear, I know. She's absolutely shameless." The man gets a bit of a dreamy look on his face - which his wife disapproves of greatly.
"Seamus! Wipe that smile off your face! And if I ever catch you looking at that woman, you can sleep in the barn for a month!"
