News starts to filter down from travellers from Butte and Great Falls that the Nez Perce, a large band of Indians out in the Oregon territory, are on the move, fighting the US Cavalry. A massacre of 'many innocents' apparently occured somewhere near Idaho, and now, a thousand strong of Indian warriors are on the move, with many horses, ready to rampage through the Montana Territory! 'Worse than the Sioux by thousands,' a local paper from Great Falls says. 'Fierce and out for blood!' says another.
