Just ain't right

Overheard in the boarding house common room...

"What happened to that French girl who was in here? You saw her, practically falling out of her clothes. I bet she's gonna work at the saloon."

"Man, you don't know nothin' and you'd better watch your mouth. That's that lumberjack's niece. You know the one, what's his name, worse than a plague of locusts. He hears you talkin' like that about her, he's liable to rip your head off. You remember what he did to Dutchy for gettin' fresh with that girl at the beer garden that time don't you?"

"Now why'd you have to go bring that up? You know that always puts me off my feed. That just weren't right. Not right at all. Least he could have done was wait fer Dutchy t'sober up first. So what'd he do with the girl? Take her up to his camp? With those partners of his she'd be better off down here."

"Nah, I was downstairs in the kitchen seein' if there was any of that chicken left over from dinner last night and I heard them out in the dining room. He done took her out and left her with that Chinaman, the one who claims he's some sort of doctor. So now he's got two white women livin' out there with him. Talk about not right. Let me tell you! I don't know what that big fella was thinkin'."
