As the cleanup effort begins, one thing that rapidly becomes clear is that the Dusty Lady saloon was the site of the explosion that started the fire. The exact nature of the explosion remains a mystery as the saloon had closed for the night and those workers remaining in the saloon that were not killed in the blast and subsequent fire are too badly injured to tell anyone anything right now. The owner, Damien D'aray, who was on his way back to his room at the hotel, claims that there were no materials capable of generating such explosive force stored in the Dusty Lady.
On a related note, Damien has taken the opportunity to buy a couple of properties whose owners have decided to return east rather than rebuild. He is also offering loans to select people, at lower than bank interest rates, for the express purpose of rebuilding their businesses.
